Establishment of Standard Club by Bureau of Indian Standards.

  •  Benefits of the club will be:

1. Students will learn about various standards required for the manufacturing sector like ISI standards, standards for drones,domestic products of Agriculture, Electronics,Chemical, health care etc.

2. It will be helpful for students in the diverse area in Government and private sector.

2. Standard Club awareness program through seminars & workshops.

3. Standard writing competition.

4. Standard Presentation competition.

5. Competition on standard and quality issues.

About BIS:

BIS is the National Standard Body of India established under the BIS Act 2016 for the harmonious development of the activities of standardization, marking and quality certification of goods and for matters connected therewith or incidental there to .BIS has been providing traceability and tangibility benefits to the national economy in a number of ways – providing safe reliable quality goods; minimizing health hazards to consumers; promoting exports and imports substitute; control over proliferation of varieties etc. through standardization, certification and testing.

BIS-BVDUDET VISIT TO LABS

On 19/04/2024, a group of students from BIS-BVDUDET visited the BIS Labs facility to gain insights into the latest technologies and innovations in the field of standardization . The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to real-world applications of their studies and to inspire them to pursue careers .


During the visit, students were given a tour of the BIS Labs facility, where they had the opportunity to interact with experts and observe demonstrations of
cutting-edge technologies. They learned about specific technologies or projects showcased and were able to ask questions and engage in discussions with the
experts.


The visit also included a series of presentations and workshops, where students learned about the latest trends and developments in standard products.


Overall, the visit to BIS Labs was highly informative and inspiring for the students, providing them with a glimpse into the future of and motivating them to pursue excellence in their studies and future careers.
