Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering

About Department

Electronics and Communications Engineering is one of the most important branches of Engineering. The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 1983 with the mission of empowering students with state-of-the-art knowledge to meet the growing challenges in Electronics and allied field. Presently the department offers B. Tech (ECE), M.Tech (Electronics-VLSI) and Doctoral programs. The B. Tech programme of ECE is accredited thrice by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The department has well experienced and qualified faculty. It has very good infrastructural facilities with state-of-the-art laboratories namely Speech & sound Processing, VLSI, Embedded systems, digital image processing, Electronics Instruments & Measurement system, etc. with modern softwares.

The Speech and Sound Processing Laboratory is a specialized facility provided in the department for sound recording, editing and mixing. It offers an integrated solution for speech and audio production and mixing. The Program has a well-designed curriculum to incorporate all advancements in existing and emerging technologies. It aims to ensure that the students excel in hardware as well as software technologies. Inplant training is a part of the curriculum where students work in an industry for a minimum period of 45 days. It gives them an exposure to the technology in practice and industrial environment. The students of the department are exposed to modern trends in the industry as experts from industry are actively involved in regular academic activities such as workshops, seminars, industrial visits, etc. Excellent placement in both core and software across MNCs with maximum package of 18 LPA.
